As an aircraft manufacturer, industrialist, industrial service provider and logistician, Daher today has approximately 12,000 employees for a turnover of 1.5 billion euros. With its family ownership, Daher has been focused on innovation since its creation in 1863. With locations in some 20 countries in Europe, North America and Asia, Daher designs and develops value-added solutions for its aeronautical and industrial customers and partners Daher manufactures two families of single-engine turboprop airplanes: the Kodiak utility aircraft in Sandpoint, Idaho, USA, and the very fast pressurized TBM in Tarbes, France. As of January 1st, 2024, a total of 339 Kodiak and 1,187 TBM aircraft have been delivered to international owners and operators, with the global fleet accumulating some 3 million flight hours.

Objectives & missions:

DAHER offers an internship fund for two college junior or senior students, age over 21 to discover the aeronautical sector.
The experience will provide an opportunity for each person to visit France for an internship of seven weeks duration from May 27 to July 12, where they will work all the DAHER facility in Tarbes within the Aircraft Division, home of the TBM aircraft manufacturing, and be exposed to a variety of aviation disciplines,
Each trainee will conclude their summer internship by assisting Daher exhibition team at the EAA AirVenture event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Round-trip transportation will be provided from the U.S. to France, as well as local transportation and accommodations in France. The internship also includes round-trip transportation to Oshkosh, local transportation and accommodations.
Knowledge of the French language would enhance the experience but is not an absolute requirement. Applicants must be in full lime time education and able to demonstrate an interest in aeronautical career-engineering, flying, maintenance, manufacturing, marketing, or other areas focused on aviation. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens and able to obtain their own passport. They should also be flexible and adaptable to living in an environment and culture that may be different from their own.
